Thalapathy Vijay’s Leo Joins ’50 Crore’ Club in Kerala!

Leo creates history at Kerala Box Office. Thalapathy Vijay starrer is now the fastest to INR 50 Crore club at KBO. The movie has transceneded the INR 50 Crore barrier quiet comfortably, thanks to the phenomenal craze for the film in Kerala. The movie put on a show at the KBO during its first week by collecting INR 47.20 Crore which is also the fastest for any movie in Kerala.

Thalapathy Vijay enjoys a massive fan following in Kerala but this is the first time, his film exceeds the INR 20 Crore mark at KBO. This is a phenomenal achievement for the actor and indicates the growing fascination for Tamil cinema among the Keralites. Leo has finally justified the stardom of the actor in Kerala with steady collections being reported all over Kerala for the week.

Leo is only the 8th film to achieve this special feat and only the second Tamil film to do so. Jailer breached the INR 50 Crore benchmark only in the month of August which will soon be surpassed by Leo as per the current trend. The final gross of Jailer in Kerala is INR 57.7 Crore. Leo might well enter the INR 60 Crore before the 3rd weekend since there is only one major release coming up next week.

It needs to be seen whether Leo can crack into the Top 5 all time highest grossers at KBO. But this is too early to be predicted as Leo needs to rack in huge numbers on its second weekend for a Top 5 finish. As of now, Leo is all set to break the INR 50 Crore mark and aim for the highest grossing Tamil film at the Kerala Boxoffice.
