Loki Season 2 Episode 1 – OUROBOROS REVIEW



The episode begins right from the final shot of season 1 finale. Loki arrives at the TVA and is shocked to find that Mobius & Hunter B-15 do not recognize him. The show follows the events after Sylvie stabs ‘He Who Remains’ to death. So where exactly in TVA is Loki now.? It is known that time works differently in TVA. In this episode, we get to find more details about the ‘Time’ in TVA. Be ready to beat your brains out.



Loki has a new condition which is revealed in the trailer and this makes him to switch places in time. The audience is slowly introduced to this condition of Loki in a comical way which is the basic core of the series. Loki & Mobius reunites and we get to see more witiful banters exchanged by the duo. Soon after the first 10 minutes, the audience might scratch their heads to understand the concept of the condition. It is important that the viewers get the concept clear as the rest of the show will have more references about this

A new character is introduced who basically is the guide for the viewers as well. The sequences are more dramatic that depends heavily on dialogues and funny remarks. The makers have reduced the complexity and used a better narration for the first show. The multiverse and time phenomenon is getting more convoluted but the makers are making sure that essence of the show is not lost. The humour works and the characters share the same rapport like in the previous season.



Technically impressive and the show has a lot of innovative ideas to put forward so that the audience get a novel visual experience. The background score is tight bringing together the tension and mystery surrounding the show. What is happening to TVA.? What will happen to the branched timelines.? Where is Sylvie & ‘He who remains’.? Do the people in TVA get to discover their real identities.? More questions will be answered in the coming episodes

VERDICT : An excellent start to the second season concealed in mysteries and mind-bending concepts.
