‘Lokah’ breaches ₹250 Crore in 19-Days globally; second biggest Malayalam film ever…!!!!


Lokah has done the unthinkable, breaking all expectations, to become the second highest grosser in the history of Malayalam Cinema. The Kalyani Priyadarshan starrer is not going to stop here and will break the ₹250 Cr barrier on its 19th Day. The film is still doing remarkable business in every circuit and the highest grossing Malayalam movie tag is not too far away. There is no better way to start a ‘Cinematic Universe’ than this and Lokah is setting new milestones for Malayalam Cinema Industry.


Domestic Circuits

In Kerala, Lokah has stormed past ₹90 Cr to become the second highest grosser behind Thudarum. The film has created historical figures in its third weekend, which is higher than the first weekend.

Weekend 1         – ₹13.65 Cr

Weekend 2         – ₹20.26 Cr

Weekend 3         – ₹13.74 Cr

The film is all set for ₹2 Cr plus day on third Monday, which indicates very strong legs for the 4th week.

Lokah is performing outstandingly well in the Rest of India markets where the film will sail past ₹50 Cr on third Monday. This is only the second time a Malayalam film has achieved this magic figure outside of Kerala, following Manjummel Boys. The Naslen starrer will soon become only the second Malayalam film to earn over ₹150 Cr domestically. The Telugu version of the film has contributed above ₹14 Cr while the Tamil version collected over ₹12 Cr. The Hindi version had a delayed release, earning close to ₹3.5 Cr in 11 days.

In Tamil Nadu, the film has steady collections despite Madharasi and is on track to gross ₹20 Cr in the state. Karnataka has also contributed fairly well, grossing around ₹12 Cr. Now, Lokah is the highest grossing Malayalam film in the states of Tamil Nadu & Karnataka behind Manjummel Boys. The Kalyani Priyadarshan starrer went past Manjummel Boys to become the biggest Malayalam film in the Telugu states, earning over ₹13 Cr. In the Hindi heartlands, the film is only second to Marco.

International Circuits

Lokah is doing excellent business in the overseas market, now becoming the second highest grossing Malayalam movie after eclipsing Thudarum. In doing so, Lokah becomes only the 3rd Malayalam film to achieve $10M plus gross from the international markets. Now, this Kalyani Priyadarshan starrer is the 4th biggest overseas grosser of 2025 for any Indian film. The Top 5 Malayalam films in the Overseas are as follows:

In GCC, Lokah has earned above $7M to become the tenth highest grossing India movie in the region, going past Salman Khan’s Tiger Zinda Hai. The Top 5 Malayalam Films in the region are as follows:

In the Australia Box-office, Lokah has emerged as the second biggest Malayalam film after surpassing Thudarum. If the film could draw steady collections in the next week, this Kalyani Priyadarshan starrer can become the second Malayalam film after Empuraan to breach A$1M in the region.
