Kannur Squad Kerala First Sunday Early Estimate : BLOCKBUSTER TREND

Kannur Squad is shining at Kerala Boxoffice amidst the torrential rain. The movie saw unanimous positive reviews from the audience and collected INR 2.40 Crore on its first day despite a muted promotional campaign. It seems like the makers were confident about the film and the theatres across the state started to witness house full shows. To put it another way, only 167 screens were charted on Day 1 which was further increased to 330 plus screens on Day 4. This means that more than 1000 shows will be played on Day 4. According to the early estimates, the movie is all set to register INR 4.50 Crore on Sunday which is the highest single day gross for the film.

Battling the weather, people are thronging the theatres and the film is seeing extraordinary footfalls on each passing day. As per WTF tracking, the movie will see more than 2.25 lakh footfalls on Sunday. Day 1 tracked figures were INR 1.57 Crore and Day 4 tracked collections will witness more than 100% jump from Day 1.  The movie is also performing well on each passing day with respect to occupancy. Sunday will record close to 70% occupancy which means there is no stopping this movie anytime soon. At this moment, Kannur squad is witnessing sharp rise in footfalls especially for the evening & night shows.

Kannur Squad starring Mammootty is distributed by Wayfarer films across the state. The movie couldn’t bag many screens on Day 1 due to conflicts with the theatres on sharing shows with Chaaver which was later postponed to October 5. But with extremely positive reviews, more theatres came forward to screen Kannur Squad and more shows were added on already screening centres.
