‘Kalki 2898 AD’ 18 Days Boxoffice Collection Report – Nearing ₹1000 Crore Worldwide
Kalki 2898 AD has roughly earned $30M in the overseas while the domestic total has gone well over ₹6500 Cr. After 18 days of glorious run at the Worldwide Box-Office, the Prabhas starrer is well poised to enter the ₹1,000 Cr club very soon. The film was able to keep the new releases at bay during its third weekend and is expected to get another week of free run. The film has so far ensured strong legs at the multiplexes & cities and has also made a strong impact at the Overseas Box-Office. Kalki 2898 AD was able to hold 40% of its first week collections, which means Prabhas will have his second 1000 Crore film globally very soon after Baahubali 2. He will only be the second Indian actor to do so after Shahrukh Khan. Let us take a look at the detailed report of 18-Day Box-Office collections.
Domestic
Kalki 2898 AD added another ₹50 Cr in the second week to take the cumulative 18 days total well above ₹250 Cr in AP/TG. In the Telugu states, the film witnessed a huge drop after the first weekend. Despite the drop in the Ceded region, the film managed to hold steady in the Nizam area. The Prabhas starrer currently stands at the 3rd position behind Baahubali 2 & RRR in the home states. The much-anticipated Shankar- Kamal Haasan’s Bharateeyudu 2 failed to recreate the magic at AP/TS Box-Office which might help Kalki 2898 AD in its 3rd week. The Nag Ashwin directorial has already achieved a share of ₹149.50 Cr in 18 days in the home states. But it still needs to be seen whether the film can become the third ₹300 Cr plus movie in AP/TS.
North India also saw a steady hold despite that early drop on First Monday. The film managed to hold very well on its second week and third weekend to take the 18 Day total toward ₹275 Cr. The film is well ahead of the second highest grosser Fighter in Hindi belts having achieved ₹242 Cr India nett in 18 days. The film also withstood competition in the 3rd weekend from Sarfira & Hindustani 2, though both films failed to create any impact among the Hindi audience. The film saw huge jump in the multiplexes and cities and lack of a significant competition ensured the film stays afloat to touch ₹300 Cr in its final run.
In Kerala, Kalki 2898 AD is showing excellent hold. The film has gone past the final figures of RRR to become the second highest grossing Telugu film in Kerala Box-Office. There was no major release during its second weekend but the third weekend saw a huge competition which affected the screen count in its 3rd week. Despite losing relatively huge number of shows to Indian 2, the Prabhas starrer came out on top during Sunday. The film is all poised to stride forward for another 10 days till Raayan & Deadpool 3 come out. It needs to be seen whether the film can reach ₹35 Cr at KBO.

Kalki 2898 AD has not made any significant progress in the state of Tamil Nadu, adding only around ₹10 Cr in 11 days to the first week total. Though there was a heavy drop after the first weekend, the film also got affected by the release of Indian 2. Like in other territories, the Prabhas starrer couldn’t penetrate enough into the rural markets of TN Box Office. In Karnataka, the film saw much better hold in the second week and third weekend. Kalki 2898 AD was able to add another ₹20 Crore to its first week total to take the cumulative 18 days gross around ₹63 Crore. In doing so, the film has gone past the collections of Jailer to become the 5th highest non-Kannada movie in Karnataka. Prabhas now has 3 movies in top 5. The film will easily go past Jawan to become the No 4 non-Kannada movie by the fourth weekend. It needs to be seen whether the Prabhas starrer can get past ₹75 Crore and eventually end up at No 2 by surpassing Baahubali 1 & RRR.
Overseas
Kalki 2898 AD is inching closer towards $30M at the Overseas markets. It has already hauled past the overseas collections of KGF 2 to become the 3rd highest South Indian Film in the Overseas. With Indian 2 failing to live up to the expectations, Prabhas is well poised to have his second $30M plus grosser at the Overseas.
The North American market has become the stronghold of Kalki 2898 AD by grossing over $17.70M in 18 days. USA contributed around $14.35M while Canada added another $3.35M to the total. The Telugu version has made above $12.38M while the Hindi version has added around $4.72M. The film finds itself at the second spot in the All-Time list of highest grossing Indian movies in the US/Canada Box-Office by surpassing the Shahrukh Khan starrer Pathaan. Only Baahubali 2 with $22M is ahead of the Prabhas starrer at the USA/Canada Box-Office.
In the GCC circuits, the film has slid past $4.20M, making it in the vicinity of RRR. Also, Prabhas becomes the second South Indian actor after Rajnikanth to have two $4M plus films in the Gulf countries. Kalki 2898 AD occupies the third spot for a Telugu movie behind Baahubali 2 & RRR, each of which collected $10.31M & $4.72M respectively. The film is also expected to remain in the same position after the final run since Deadpool & Wolverine is arriving to the theatres on July 26. The Prabhas starrer also grossed over $2.75M in UAE, and sees over 2.37 Lakh admits over 18 days. Kalki 2898 AD is now eyeing the 2nd spot in this territory. The Top 3 Telugu Grossers in UAE are:

The film went past the collections of Jailer & Ponniyin Selvan 1 on its 3rd weekend to achieve this feat. The Prabhas starrer made around £1.50M in UK while Ireland contributed £103 K.
