‘Dulquer Salmaan’ kickstarts his next film ‘Kaantha’ in Hyderabad..!!

Dulquer Salmaan has officially commenced his next project ‘Kaantha’ with a pooja ceremony in Hyderabad on Sunday, September 8. This film is jointly produced by Dulquer Salmaan & Rana Daggubbati under their productions Wayfarer Films & The Spirit Media. Bhagyashri Borse plays the female lead while Samuthirakani is also a part of the film in an important role. Veteran Telugu actor Venkatesh Daggubati gave the first clap for the film. Dulquer, Ran, Bhagyashri & Venkatesh were seen wearing a traditional outfit for the Pooja ceremony.

“An exciting journey begins today”, wrote Dulquer Salmaan on Instagram while officially introducing the project. The event marked 60 years of Suresh Productions. In the final note, he added “Puja completed, can’t wait to start rolling.” The film is directed by Selvamani Selvaraj, who has earlier directed the 2016 Tamil film Nila & the 2023 TV Series titled The Hunt for Veerappan. Further details about the story are awaited. The film was announced on July with a first look poster on the birthday of Dulquer. While announcing the project, Rana Daggubati wrote, “Ever so rarely, we find a story that consumes us and reminds us of the power of good cinema.”

Dulquer Salmaan will be seen in Lucky Bhaskar, which is planned as Diwali release. Bhagyashri Borse was last seen in Mr Bachchan, alongside Ravi Teja. More cast details will be announced soon. Kaantha is planned as a multilingual film and the team has not mentioned about any release date plans as of now.
